A Budapesti Fegyház és Börtönt sokáig Európa legmodernebb börtönei között tartották számon, építése során a nyugat-európai és az észak-amerikai börtönépítészeti tapasztalatokat, illetve a korszak számos technikai újításait is figyelembe vették. Az intézetben a kor fővárosi viszonyait messze meghaladva központi fűtés, villanyvilágítás, illetve két úszómedence is volt.

In their factories founded for the employment of inmates they manufacture iron structures and radiators. Here highway road fence and parts of mobile phone towers and panel radiators are made. The main aim of the electronic waste disposal and recycling plant is that from domestic and industrial “e-waste” they regain valuable resources. Apart from this, the company generates electricity, disposes of catering waste, substitutes fertilizer, deals with agriculture and livestock, operates laundry services in which they employ the inmates of the prisons of Dunaújváros and Kőbánya.
